The village of Trunkey Creek is located in the Central West of New South Wales Australia. About 80 km south of the city of Bathurst and about 130km north of the city of Goulburn on the Bathurst Goulburn Road.

Trunkey Creek was established during the gold rush back in 1851 but was not officially gazetted until 1873.
At one time the village was said to have a population of around 2,500. Now the village only has about 60 residents. - - More Information on Trunkey Creek

There are at least two cemeteries near the village
The Public Cemetery (Trunkey Creek Public Cemetery) was gazetted in the 1870's
The oldest surviving cemetery is the "Long Swamp" Cemetery at Arkell. Arkell or Long Swamp Cemetery was an early Catholic cemetery
a few kilometres north of the village of Trunkey Creek on the old Bathurst Road.
